Yesterday on Monday We (room 15) went to the supermarket (New world) to read food labels to see which is unhealthy and healthy foods. I learnt lots of stuff like what is healthy and what is not.

Athletics!!!

Yesterday was Tuesday and after morning tea me and the class went to do some athletics with a coach also I forgot his name. For a warm up we play a game called cups and saucers. after that we learnt how to start a sprint. Taste experiment

Yesterday we did some a experiment with taste. We had some jelly beans For this experiment. The experiment had us block our nose and put a jelly bean in our mouth. I couldn't even taste the jelly bean. it was so fun I wish I could do it again

My old house

At my old house I had a diggy hole where, used to dig, it is in the front yard, it was a big hole, and it had a small tree and a big tree, next to it we also had a trampoline, in the back yard. I remember a time when my biggest, brother had to go to hospital, because he stepped on glass and cut his foot open, and when I had to go to hospital, because I was puking everywhere, for no reason. My old house was right in front of Mt Albert, and next to a polluted lake. Sadly the house, is not there anymore :( but my diggy, hole is :) and the big and small tree, and the polluted lake.

Basketball Session 1

Last week we had out first basketball session with our coach - I forgot his name but I will find out this week and let you know!  I learnt how to do some tricks with the ball such as holding it above my head and passing it from hand to hand. It took lot's of trial and error and co ordination but I got it in the end.

matariki week

Last week on Thursday we made kites and stars. We also researched maori gods. We got to fly kites  last week on friday. On Monday Half of the Class want to ten to make bread and the other half stayed in the class making stars with only ONE CUT. We made a big star first we had to do a design on both sides my design was a beautiful picture of matariki stars.

Last week on Tuesday Newmarket primary came to our school. They came because they wanted some harakeke for matariki. Harakeke means flax in Maori and Matariki Is the Maori New Year. Stay tuned to my blog for some of my learning about Matariki.

I'm back

It has been a long time. but my teacher wanted to do bogging so I am back!
